Requirements

  • Strong background in Workday integrations specifically for benefits
  • Expertise in overall benefit administration
  • Comprehensive knowledge of benefits compliance
  • Current working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations pertaining to the specific human resources function
  • Knowledge of principles and practices specific to the assigned human resources function
  • Broad knowledge of the assigned human resources program
  • Understanding of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) requirements
  • Ability to interpret, apply and explain applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to recognize, research and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to compute and apply basic mathematical functions and computations, including calculating percentages and prorated amounts
  • Organization skills and attention to details
  • Ability to prioritize workload to complete assignments accurately and timely

Responsibilities

  • Administer health benefits for 60,000+ participants
  • Perform a variety of standard to moderately complex professional and technical duties
  • Manage and review issues and cases from initiation to closure
  • Coordinate closely with the HRIS team to update system data and ensure accurate employee information
  • Coordinate with TPAs for health plan setup, resolve data issues, audit rates, and collaborate on system configurations and corrections
  • Update and maintain plan design documents (including pricing)
  • Develop and review various reports
  • Meticulously analyze data, requiring advanced quantitative analysis skills in Excel
  • Test programming and configurations in the enrollment system
  • Assist with open enrollment communications and training
  • Partner closely with various departments and teams, including Workforce Labor Relations, Payroll, AP, Developers, Compensation, Retirement, and HR Partners
  • Create a partnership with the Health & Welfare Consultant team to support the ongoing benefit strategy for the organization
  • Assist with gathering information for labor negotiations
