Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, STEM or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in technical project management with automotive or high-volume manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of launch processes, manufacturing systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in project management tools: Jira, Smartsheet, Atlassian Suite, Gantt charts, and scheduling methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in KPI tracking and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing and driving resolution of all build related issues on new vehicle launches.
  • Ensure that all issues are understood with containment action plans are in place.
  • Track and monitor breakpoints of containment and corrective action.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams including plant launch team, chief team, vehicle program management, engineering and quality team.
  • Present top issues with actionable insights to program, plant and senior leadership.
  • Prioritize Safety, quality and throughput of issues identified within the assembly plant.
  • Efficient coordination of Launch Excellence discussions at various organizational levels.
  • Influential leadership to develop strong teamwork, communication and build alignment cross-functionally.
  • Work with multi-functional teams to identify and document lessons learned to implement improved processes for future launches.
  • Use your emotional intelligence and adaptability to successfully navigate complex situations and to motivate teams.
  • Effectively delegate tasks, empower teams and foster development.
  • Be resilient to setbacks and maintain a positive attitude throughout the process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in STEM preferred.
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Black Belt preferred.
  • Red X Certification preferred.
  • Experience in design, release and validation of automotive components, industrial products or consumer electronics preferred.
  • Knowledge of PPAP requirements and process preferred.
