Requirements

  • A background in the commercial P&C insurance industry
  • Broad knowledge of software development techniques, processes, and best practices.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale system implementations, migrations, and acquisitions.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to manage complex business processes and multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong strategic planning and decision-making capabilities.
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms and integration strategies.
  • Experience with Guidewire software is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture design.
  • 5+ years of management experience, including project and team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate cutover planning and execution across multiple teams and technologies.
  • Ensure effective and timely development and deployment of new and/or enhanced systems.
  • Monitor all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle and ensure high-quality production support.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for technology to improve business processes.
  • Prepare business cases and financial analyses for new systems and technologies.
  • Oversee business analysis, development, and quality assurance for assigned initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strategic plans aligned with company objectives and budgets.
  • Contribute to IT standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and integration.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in vendor evaluations and manage ongoing relationships.
  • Manage team performance through recruitment, development, and recognition.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Guidewire software is a plus.
