Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certifications in mechanics, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, motors, and PLC troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with tools, diagnostic equipment, and blueprints or schematics.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations, including LOTO procedures.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, and adjustments of equipment to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, performing timely repairs to minimize disruptions
- Collaborate with production teams to fine-tune machinery for improved efficiency, quality, and productivity
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and parts inventories using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and ensure equipment meets OSHA and company standards
- Respond promptly to breakdowns or urgent repair needs, working to restore operations as quickly as possible
- Assist with the installation and testing of new equipment or upgrades to existing systems
- Work closely with engineers, machine operators, and other mechanics to resolve issues and plan long-term maintenance strategies
- Share knowledge and expertise with team members, providing guidance on proper equipment use and care
- Comfortable working in a shift-based system, including weekends and overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or certifications in mechanics, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.
