Project Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required
5+ years minimum previous experience in automotive, agriculture, or consumer product engineering preferred
Minimum of 2+ years of supplier interaction experience as it relates to sourced materials/components
Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures to the completion of difficult technical problems and projects
Skilled in multitasking and executing many tasks at once
Decisive and prone to action – self starter
Exhibits outstanding interpersonal communication skills (both oral and written communication)
Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude

Manages simultaneous projects that are days, weeks, or months in duration with significant financial investment
Establish reasonable project development schedules from concept to production implementation in line with overall business requirements
Key contributor for engineering reviews of excess & obsolete materials
Aid in tariff engineering and related tariff mitigation strategies and implementations
Tracks project updates and implementations along with supporting details
Host cross-functional meetings to track and help solve critical parts issues
Analyze complex issues, propose solutions, and work to implement fixes
Drives issue resolution amongst the design and systems engineering teams in order to keep assigned project(s) on schedule
Supports all design related component styling, purchasing, and manufacturing tasks with emphasis on safety, quality, reliability, delivery, and cost
Utilize the Polaris product development process
Provide direction, coordination, and design trade-offs for designers within the team
Coordinates development, layout, testing, drafting, and fabrication to ensure project objectives are met per schedule
Lead and participates in design reviews on projects to ensure adequate input and involvement from all engineering and functional groups
Performs other miscellaneous project related assignments
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
