Requirements

  • Associated degree in related field
  • Journeyman Level Certification from state (approved trades school preferred) OR more than five years of experience in Industrial Controls and Automation.

Responsibilities

  • Investigates malfunctions, determines causes, repairs equipment, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical services in order to maintain the scheduled flow of production and a suitable working environment.
  • Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provides access for future maintenance, and avoids unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
  • Investigates, diagnoses, and corrects malfunctions occurring in equipment, pneumatic hydraulic, electrical and mechanical service systems with minimal supervisory assistance.
  • Assembles and installs manufacturing equipment, pumps, compressors and related hydraulic and pneumatic systems, controls and lines, and brings such equipment and systems to proper and sound working condition.
  • Investigates and diagnoses malfunctions. Repairs, determines, and advises appropriate Supervisor on proper correction measures required.
  • Fabricates less complex manufacturing equipment.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial control equipment such as motors, variable speed drives, temperature controls, proximity sensors, photoelectric devices, pressure switches, and programmable logic controllers.
  • Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Ability to read mechanical and facility blueprints.
  • Provide electro/mechanical planning and support as required for all projects within the plant.
  • Conduct all assigned preventative maintenance.
  • Reports all safety malfunctions, near hits, and/or injuries to supervisor immediately.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
