Requirements
- PhD or MD/PhD required
- Considerable post-doctoral experience in basic research required
- Considerable experience in oncology required
- Proven ability to write scientific reports and publish in scientific, peer-reviewed journals preferred
- Understanding of key components of grant writing and obtaining funding in support of research required
- Experience with administration of funded research required
- Successful completion of a background check required
- Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen
Responsibilities
- Design and conduct experiments that drive discovery in cancer science, with a focus on the kidney cancer microenvironment
- Develop successful manuscripts and grant applications to support all or part of the research effort
- Partner with Dr. Rathmell to oversee the day-to-day operations of a basic science laboratory
- Responsible for daily management of laboratory compliance, safety, and organization, including laboratory IRB and IACUC protocols

- Proven ability to write scientific reports and publish in scientific, peer-reviewed journals preferred
