Requirements

  • Experience (ideally 7+ years) in user research with a strong portfolio showcasing your research process and impact.
  • Deep knowledge of a variety of user research methods (qualitative and quantitative) and knowing when to use which.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into compelling stories and actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills – you can articulate research findings clearly, communicate how they apply to business impact and work effectively with diverse teams.
  • A genuine passion for understanding people, coupled with a strategic and problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience with common user research tools (e.g., UserTesting.com, Posthog, SurveyMonkey, Dovetail, WalkMe).
  • A collaborative self-starter attitude – especially important as you’ll be establishing this function!

Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct high-impact research: Design, plan, and execute a wide range of qualitative and quantitative user research studies (think user interviews, usability testing, surveys, persona development, journey mapping).
  • Translate insights into action: Synthesize the research findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights that our product and design teams will use to inform our products.
  • Support user-centred design: Be the voice of the user throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
  • Develop and evolve research practices: Since you’re our first, you’ll help build and refine our user research methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Collaborate across teams: Work super closely with our product managers, designers, and engineers.
  • Understand the complex domain of investment relations: Empathize with the unique needs of our diverse users within the investor relationship life cycle.
  • Stay informed and innovative: Keep learning and exploring! You’ll stay on top of emerging trends in UX research, FinTech, user behaviour, and the evolving role of AI in shaping user experiences and product capabilities, bringing fresh perspectives to our work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the FinTech, SaaS, or Investor Relations industries.
  • Experience with Consumer, B2B and enterprise software research.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered products and researching user interactions with AI.
  • Experience with data management and engineering – cleaning, transforming, storing, and mining data.
