Requirements
- The ideal candidate must hold an active Public Trust or higher Federal security clearance.
- Have a college degree and one (1) year of records management experience, or an associate degree and three (3) years of records experience, or a high school diploma and five (5) years of records management experience.
- Be experienced with at least one automated information system and/or records or docket management.
- Possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Have proficiency in using technology, specifically with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Responding to inquiries, performing collection maintenance and retrieval tasks, reviewing metadata and input using automated information systems, providing support to more complex electronic records management needs.
- Providing technical support for records management programs, dockets, records centers, or other information service under the supervision of a Records Information Manager.
- Using automated electronic records management systems to include data entry, indexing, electronic uploading of alternative media (examples: videos, electronic pictures, blueprints, and maps, etc.), combining and separating electronic records to be placed in the Superfund Enterprise Management System (SEMS).
- Assisting with applying records schedules to records for appropriate transfers and dispositioning.
- Responding to inquiries; assisting with collection maintenance and retrieval tasks; providing metadata review and input; maintaining equipment; and using automated information systems.
- Adhering to Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures for records entered into the Electronic Records Management Systems.
- Reporting technical problems to either PM or Records Management Analyst 3.
- Processing records in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for changes to File/Narrative plans.
