Requirements

  • Vocational diploma, technical degree, trade certification, associate degree in a related practice, or equivalent military experience
  • Three or more years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally travel to client locations and other Barr offices
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of different people
  • Possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill equipment and vehicle-related requests using asset/vehicle management platforms
  • Prepare and ship equipment to project sites and laboratories
  • Maintain Barr’s expendable/consumable supplies and tools and organize warehouse spaces to accommodate equipment and field needs
  • Troubleshoot, maintain (e.g., minor repairs, install updates), and calibrate equipment to comply with internal quality standards
  • Identify, tag, and document inspections and calibrations using asset/vehicle management platforms
  • Act as the subject matter expert on all things equipment-related; conduct equipment-related orientation, research equipment and PPE options in alignment with project needs and compliance, and collaborate with safety staff
  • Assist with maintenance activities for company vehicles including visual inspections, cleaning, tool inventory, and vendor management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience supporting internal equipment operations
  • General warehouse and warehouse operations experience
