Requirements
- Current Florida 2-20 or 20-44 license or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with knowledge of insurance markets and underwriting procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable with internet-based programs and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office products
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to explain complex issues and respond appropriately
Responsibilities
- Receive phone calls and office visitors requesting new or additional coverage
- Determine acceptability and placement, complete applications and collect premium when applicable
- Utilize carrier websites and online rating systems
- Maintain client files accurately and consistently
- Maintain timely automated follow-up on outstanding activities and correspondence
- Knowledge of underwriting and rating procedures for all types of personal lines policies
- Adhere to department and agency protocol and Best Practices
- Participate in department meetings
- Provide training to others as requested
- Perform other duties as requested
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree desirable or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred, but not required
