Requirements
- Significant experience in contract review, drafting and negotiation
- Knowledge of commercial law, technology, privacy/data and AI
- Licensed to practice law in Ontario
- Member of the Ontario Bar in good standing
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with business and functional partners to provide strategic, practical and risk-based legal advice on a broad range of matters and initiatives
- Perform complex research and analysis of new and/or pertinent laws, regulations and other legal authority
- Support contracting and procurement efforts across ACG, including structuring, drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements
- Provide expert legal advice in evolving ACG’s data privacy management program
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of insurance legal and regulatory environment would be considered an asset
- French language ability preferred, but not required
