Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Current New York State License as a Registered Nurse
- Certified Lactation Consultant from International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Board (IBCLC)
- Minimum of 3 years of related clinical experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and computer skills
Responsibilities
- Direct provision of effective and comprehensive nursing care to patients and their significant others
- Facilitates professional nursing practice by virtue of clinical expertise
- Lead the Baby Friendly initiative
- Acts as a preceptor for new staff and students by providing them with a professional role model
- Educate staff and patients
- Support QA and QI initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters in Nursing or related field. If Masters in Nursing, BSN can be preferred
