Requirements
- Cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), deployment models (public, private, hybrid), and cloud architectures. Technical experience with major providers (AWS, Azure, and GCP)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, Nutanix, Microsoft, KVM) plus containers and related orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift)
- Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and tools like Terraform
- Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for automating software deployment
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for task automation
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including network topologies, protocols, and security principles as well as storage, including block/file, backup, and DR
- Basic understanding of programming concepts and potentially a general-purpose language like Java
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, including those related to the Morpheus Data platform and related technologies
- Understanding of ITSM concepts and experience with ITSM tools, specifically ServiceNow
- Experience and knowledge of VMware Aria Automation (vRA) and Nutanix Cloud Manager (calm.io), CloudBolt, and others
- Knowledge of the Morpheus Data platform, its features, functionalities, and use cases. Hands-on experience with the platform a huge plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study. MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering preferred
- 10+ years of work experience in related field. Mix of experience as practitioner, sales engineer, customer, and/or professional services delivery is valuable
- Technical understanding and knowledge of on hypervisors, Kubernetes, and public cloud as well as adjacent automation scripting and IaC
Responsibilities
- Develop technical documentation, presentations, white papers, blogs, and other materials that explain the features, benefits, and use cases of cloud orchestration solutions
- Train sales teams, partners, and customers on the technology, providing hands-on training and guidance
- Contribute to the development of marketing strategies, including competitive analysis and positioning of the product in the market
- Collect and analyze market feedback, providing insights to product management and engineering teams to improve the product roadmap
- Work closely with product management, sales, engineering, and other teams to ensure alignment and successful product launches
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the product and build relationships with key influencers
- Maintain a strong understanding of cloud technologies, orchestration principles, and competitive offerings
- Address technical questions and issues from customers and partners, providing solutions and guidance
- May assist in setting up and managing demo environments and proof-of-concept projects alongside sales engineers
- Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences
