Requirements
- Connecticut OE-2, S-1 or S-2 license (Required)
- 3 years of experience as a Plant Operator (Preferred)
- Boiler License (Preferred)
- EPA Universal Certification (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control the Central Utility Plant (CUP) equipment by utilizing all provided Building Monitoring Systems and manual controls.
- Perform initial inspection/assessment as first responder to occupant reports of defects in regards to buildings and facility services equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on Central Utility Plant affiliated equipment.
- Read and understand Maintenance Operating Procedures, Emergency Response Procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures and document use as needed.
- Perform scheduled property walkthroughs (rounds) and inspections on various building systems throughout the Facility/Campus and provide detailed written report of any deficiencies/issues identified to Facility Management for correction.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot alarms identified, control and command the sites various Building Monitoring Systems as needed.
- Perform water chemistry for boiler water, chilled water and condensate water systems.
- Provide regular updates to Maintenance Management/Supervision regarding the Operating status of Central Utility Plant (CUP) equipment.
- Start up, monitor, reset and shut down all Central Utility Plant equipment as needed.
