Requirements
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification
- Experience in engineering operations related to structures and building maintenance
- Knowledge of Federal and State rules and regulations regarding structure maintenance and construction
- Ability to review engineering plans and generate repair cost estimates
- Experience in calculating and updating bridge load ratings
Responsibilities
- Direct engineering operations in the Structures and Building Maintenance Section
- Ensure safety and longevity of bridges, pump stations, culverts, and other structures
- Perform complex structures operation decisions regarding maintenance and construction projects
- Review engineering plans and generate repair costs for county structures
- Calculate and update bridge load ratings and report to the MiBridge website
