Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant and sophisticated experience as a lawyer in a law firm, investment bank or investment manager
- Significant and substantial legal experience in the areas of asset-based finance/securitized products/structured finance or related areas of private credit (including the various asset-based finance asset classes described in the Job Description)
- Stellar project management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and operate independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent judgment, including the ability to provide pragmatic advice and raise issues when appropriate
- Ability to collaborate with clients, colleagues and corporate partners at all levels, including senior management
- Admitted to practice in N.J. (or be able to obtain a N.J. in-house counsel license as required)
Responsibilities
- providing day-to-day legal advice and support for PGIM Fixed Income’s securitized products group in connection with private asset-based finance transactions (e.g., capital solutions, consumer loans, renewables, mortgages and specialty finance)
- structuring and forming fund vehicles
- reviewing and negotiating complex deal documentation and confidentiality agreements
- providing advice with respect to operations, syndication and trading issues
- advising on related investment management issues
- providing advice regarding various regulatory matters
- advising on debt finance and lending transactions as the need arises
- close collaboration with investment and business professionals
- managing outside transaction and fund formation counsel
