Requirements
- Minimum of five years experience in manufacturing Leadership
- Ability to negotiate and maximize effectiveness of resources and influence others internally and externally
- Strong organization and communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Strong, positive team leadership and collaboration skills
- Advanced knowledge of machine capability requirements and SPC tools. Knowledge of the Core Tools (APQP, MSA, PPAP, SPC, FMEA)
- Ability to use various computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Ability to track expenses and run projections. Familiar with customer websites
- Detailed understanding of Quality System Standards 5 plus years
- Industry experience in manufacturing and/or development of quality management 5 plus years
- Working knowledge of Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) requirements 5 plus years
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Tools 5 plus years
- Engage in ongoing learning through participation in professional organizations, seminars, formal courses, conferences and trade shows. Upgrade skills by attending conferences and networking functions, by liaising with industry associations, and by taking management classes through educational institutions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location and the Global Operating System Plays
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements
- Oversee product inspection processes, SPC, and dimensional verification for CNC-machined parts to ensure compliance with customer drawings and specifications
- Manage internal and external audits, including IATF/ISO certification, customer, and regulatory audits
- Analyze quality data (PPM, scrap, rework, warranty) and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone analysis
- Serve as the primary customer contact for all quality-related matters, including complaints, PPAPs, and APQP activities
- Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for internal and external quality issues
- Maintain documentation including control plans, PFMEAs, process flow diagrams, and work instructions
- Support launch of new CNC programs and engineering changes from a quality standpoint
- Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors
- Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility Performance Indicators to align to Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy
- Develop and empower employees through training programs, feedback and reviews
- Create Quality Management System best practices and share with Quality Managers, OWL and Linus
- Interact and maintain effective communication(s) with Site Managers, supervisors and support staff
- Support plant where needed with QMS Systems, Cost of Poor Quality, Corrective actions, Continuous improvement and Plant metrics.
