Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred
- 8 years in non-profit with a focus on major giving
- 5 years of leadership experience, ideally in larger institutions
- 3 years of senior-level fundraising experience within large, complex organizations
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and executing a fundraising strategic plan that consistently meets goals
- Experience with fundraising donor management software
- Adeptness in managing revenue and expense budgets to align with program objectives
- Skilled in designing fundraising strategic plans in partnership with organizational leadership
- Verified success in personally securing major gifts and cultivating donor relationships
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in prospect management systems that foster the development of a major gift prospect pipeline
- Advanced interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Excellent persuasive communication abilities
- Proficient computer literacy in Windows applications
Responsibilities
- Cultivate significant gifts of $50,000 or more
- Collaborate closely with hospital leadership to craft compelling giving opportunities
- Work seamlessly with the Foundation’s Fundraising Team to prioritize strategic objectives
- Employ a systematic approach to identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors
- Ensure that fundraising metrics are met annually
- Design a strategic fundraising plan that empowers the team to achieve major and capital philanthropic initiatives
- Develop and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects
- Personally solicit gifts and pledges of $25,000 over five years
- Supervise and lead the philanthropy manager, coordinator, and administrative assistant
- Actively engage with the community to elevate awareness of the Ministry’s charitable mission and philanthropic goals
- Prepare financial and analytical reports on fundraising outcomes and trends
- Maintain strong connections with community organizations and institutions impacting healthcare development programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare philanthropy
- Raiser’s Edge Donor Management system preferred
