Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a knowledge manager in the DoD
  • 5+ years of experience with SharePoint custom development and maintenance and building out-of-the-box SharePoint solutions
  • Experience with assessing processes and providing strategic recommendations for improvement
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2013, 2016, or 2019, including administration and development, such as SharePoint sites, sub-sites, libraries, and lists
  • Experience promoting knowledge sharing through the organization’s operational business processes and systems by improving integration among information systems in the organization to facilitate seamless exchange of information across systems
  • Knowledge of databases or data sets in report and metric building
  • Ability to translate client, stakeholder, and end user’s needs and requirements and recommend actionable solutions
  • Ability to work with web development tools and languages, such as JavaScript, HTML, or CSS
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing and promoting knowledge management best practices within the DoD
  • Serve as a resource for internal business process design and development
  • Promote and assist with the use of internal knowledge management tools
  • Develop and implement repeatable knowledge management processes for continual process improvement
  • Research and document sources of knowledge management training
  • Develop and present knowledge management briefings to the Command staff
  • Integrate information from departments and functions throughout the organization to facilitate easy access, sharing, and dissemination of information with internal business partners and external clients
  • Train and educate front-end users of the knowledge management tools
  • Develop reports to support operations
  • Write knowledge content
  • Prepare presentations for senior management to support recommended changes, new initiatives, or enhancements, as required
  • Monitor solution benefits and key measures of success to ensure that ongoing benefits are realized
  • Facilitate the development of controls with business partners through streamlining processes and system automation
  • Support all positions with appropriate analysis and backup materials
  • Collaborate across many business units to communicate complex concepts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of DoD domains
  • Possession of excellent documentation, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent client-facing or consulting skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
