Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Registered Nurse (RN) – State Licensing Board
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Providing orientation, training, and education for clinical nursing personnel
- Assessing, planning, and implementing educational programs
- Developing, coordinating, maintaining, evaluating, and improving components of the orientation process
- Evaluating the results of educational programs and clinical interventions
- Facilitating communication between management, staff, and professional contacts
- Promoting the professional growth of peers and facilitating interdepartmental collaboration
- Performing and reporting gap analysis between current and desired states
- Leading in the conduct and utilization of nursing research and evidence-based practice
- Supporting staff development with educational activities
- Mentoring and training new coworkers
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Nursing Education/Leadership/Clinical Nurse Specialist
- 3 years Nursing/Patient Care
- 2 years Department Specific Knowledge
- Critical Care Registered Nursing experience
- Board Certification (BRD CERT)
