Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle
  • Demonstrated experience defining systems behavior
  • Experience leading Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally
  • Experience working directly with assorted customer communities to extract and refine customer need into a developed/conceptual system
  • High proficiency in technical problem solving; to include decomposition, root cause analysis, and solution development
  • Track record of customer problems/needs to innovative solutions
  • This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the necessary US Government security clearance per customers’ requirements prior to start

Responsibilities

  • Design and development of system architectures and definition of key capabilities and performance requirements
  • Define the system implementation approach and operational concept of operations
  • Ensure the systematic conversion of customer or product needs into total systems solutions
  • Perform functional analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements development and allocation, and interface definition studies translating customer needs into hardware and software requirements and specifications
  • Support capture activities, including RFI/RFP preparation, customer presentations and demonstrations, and competitor analysis
  • Maintain knowledge of current and developing technologies and developing strategies for their insertion into both legacy and next-generation applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across the entire lifecycle of the systems engineering development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering including participation in the development of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Experience working with CAMEO or other similar MBSE management tools
  • Various experience across different stages of the product lifecycle
  • 12 years of direct relevant experience within systems development or similar capacity
  • Masters in Systems Engineering
  • Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements
  • Risk and Opportunity Management experience
