Financial Reporting – Senior

BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, including experience working with publicly-traded companies
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to effectively communicate clear and concise ideas orally and in writing
Highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
Creative thinker who can bring innovative ideas and approaches to solve issues

Prepares the company’s consolidated financial statements and footnotes, including ensuring compliance with US GAAP and any other applicable regulations
Assists with preparation and review of other materials that include financial statement data
Ensures creation of auditable support with clear documentation
Participates in the month-end close process, which includes preparation of journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations
Perform accounting research and analysis on technical accounting topics, including preparation of accounting memos
Monitors and researches FASB and SEC activities to identify potential rule changes that may impact the company
Documents and updates the company’s key accounting policies
Identifies and implements opportunities to promote streamlined processes, financial systems, operational efficiencies, and enhanced internal controls
Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support the audit process
Perform other duties as required

CPA license preferred
Public accounting experience preferred
Industry experience in retail and/or consumer products, and international experience a plus
