Requirements
- Radiology Certificate required
- Surgery experience required
- Radiology Student Permit OR Indiana Radiology License required
- ARRT-R required within 1 year of hire
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic procedures using ionizing radiation
- Conduct preliminary analysis on images
- Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to interpret images
- Assist with training students and technologists
- Perform injection procedures
- Gather information on patients’ illnesses and medical history
- Explain procedures and safety precautions to patients
- Position the patient and equipment correctly to produce quality results
- Operate machine properly to produce clear imaging results
- Observe equipment functionality and adjust settings as needed
- Take X-rays of patient’s tissue, organs, and bones
- Write detailed reports about patient’s behavior or machine malfunctions
- Clean, maintain, and restock inventory in examination rooms
- Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician
- Assist with ACR, HFAP, ISBOH, IDPH, and IEMA
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree preferred
