Requirements

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Spiritual Direction, or 2 to 5 years of experience in counseling, social work, spiritual care
• Ordained Minister in lieu of Master’s degree required
• Valid Driver’s License required upon hire – MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements bereavement care plans for patients and families
• Counsels
• Provides counseling to family members of the patient
• Conducts home visits, assessments, and provides support before and after patient death
• Participates in interdisciplinary Hospice team
• Provides support to staff
• Leads team in death discussions
• Leads Remembrance ritual
• Attends case consultations
• Participates in the orientation of new employees and volunteers
• Plans and facilitates therapeutic support groups and retreats
• Collaborates in program development
• Educates
• Provides grief education to internal and external partners
• Other duties as assigned

• Candidates living within an hour’s driving distance of Owatonna are Preferred
