Requirements
- Certificate or Registry of Diagnostic Imaging accredited program
- Registered ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or Ultrasound with the ARRT(US) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required
- Vascular experience required, registry RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist), CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International), or ARRT-Vascular US) required
- American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
Responsibilities
- Manages and performs all abdominal, gynecological, obstetrical, small parts, peripheral vascular and cerebrovascular ultrasound examinations
- Demonstrates excellent comprehension and knowledge of anatomy and disease and can communicate this to the Radiologist
- Trained in the appropriate use of color Doppler techniques and other advanced imaging techniques
- Capable of working independently to obtain all necessary clinical information for the Radiologist to make a diagnosis
- Accepts secondary responsibilities within the department to support teamwork
- Performs other duties as assigned
