Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and specialized quality control tests per ASTM test methods to ensure concrete meets specifications (slump, unit weight, air content, temperature, cylinders).
- Communicate test results with Quality Control Manager and make any adjustments to concrete mixes as needed.
- Ensure concrete pours on-site are performed efficiently and smoothly as possible. This entails directing concrete trucks to pour locations/boom pumps, setting loads, constant communication with contractor & concrete dispatch, and concrete being delivered meets all specifications.
- Perform compressive strength testing in the lab.
- Enter test results and data in QC software.
