Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within one year of hire
- Knowledge of Federal and State regulatory
Responsibilities
- Prepare and validate the patient screening safety form.
- Educate patients regarding MRI procedures while ensuring patients’ comfort and safety during and after the exam.
- Maintain equipment and report any current or malfunctions with equipment immediately.
- Collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives for the department.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and economical operation.
- Coordinate and answers questions regarding scheduling, networking, informatics, and patient information.
- Complete and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination. Inspects equipment to ensure proper orientation, contacts service if necessary.
- Provide copies of imaging studies in a timely manner.
- Perform routine imaging, emergent, invasive, and all special procedures according to the policy/protocol manual and written orders.
- Maintain adequate supplies in the work area with items necessary to perform the daily schedule.
- Orient new personnel and assist in their transition to the work environment as assigned.
- Aid other associates in the department upon completion of duties or as assigned by a supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting
