Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Nuclear Medicine License/Registration by New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH)
- Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and / or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (CT)) certification to perform PET/CT exams
- If working in PET/CT, two years of current PET/CT experience
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of disease
- Provide needed coverage for PET CT services
- Warmly greet & welcome patients/visitors/staff
- Assist radiologists and other physicians in performing exams when necessary
- Assess patient condition
- Produce good quality images
- Ensure adherence to safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a hospital setting
