Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience required; JD/CRCM a plus
- 6+ years of financial services regulatory compliance experience working with credit products; fintech experience preferred
- Strong background in federal and state consumer finance laws
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Responsibilities
- Evaluate new business initiatives and participate in complex projects to identify potential compliance risk and develop mitigation strategies
- Actively engage in our Complaint Management and Issue Management programs, including risk assessment and remediation planning
- Respond to state regulatory exams and maintain Avant’s state licenses
- Monitor for regulatory changes and ensure compliance
- Build strong relationships across business units
- Develop in-depth knowledge of products, services, processes, and strategies
- Prepare formal reports for internal committees, management, Board of Directors, and external bank partners
- Take on additional projects as needed
