Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- One of the following Required upon hire: 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant (MA); or Completion of the Corewell Health MA Internship
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required upon hire
- One of the following Required within 90 Days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), License Practical Nursing (LPN) State of Michigan
Responsibilities
- Performs and oversees functions related to the clinical activities including, but not limited to: maintains patient flow by assisting and promoting the delivery of primary and preventative health care
- Performs technical procedures, lab protocols and clinically oriented activities under physician/provider direction
- Assists management in achieving office efficiencies in accordance with stated policies/procedures to ensure efficient operations
- Supports physicians, clinic staff and management which embodies the ‘Service First’ philosophy to promote customer satisfaction
