Requirements

  • 3+ years of comprehensive exposure to the full corporate tax cycle, including preparation and regulatory compliance.
  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A comparable combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation & accounting software, specifically with Taxprep/IFirm, TaxCycle or Profile.
  • Strong proficiency in corporate tax processes and regulations.
  • Experience preparing tax returns for farms and small businesses.
  • Superior client service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Dedicated to providing financial support that empowers Members.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to analyze unique scenarios and provide customized recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional tax and accounting advice to Members.
  • Onboard new FBC Members: Ensuring their needs are understood and a seamless, client-focused experience.
  • This includes reviewing the Member’s prior tax returns and bookkeeping, analyzing CRA accounts, and completing any outstanding filings or bookkeeping tasks.
  • Conduct Member reviews.
  • Meet with members in their place of business.
  • Support seasonal and year-round reconciliations and filings, including GST/HST, T1, T2, and other applicable tax returns.
  • Foster strong relationships with Members and secure member referrals.
  • Recognize member needs and connect them with our other domain experts within the company and network.
