Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or field as outlined in the essential duties; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of HR experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2+ years of high-volume experience of partnering with various levels of leadership on a variety of HR areas such as performance management, team development, and engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to use HR metrics for business decision-making.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and influence leaders on key HR decisions, balancing business needs, risk, and compliance considerations.
  • Coach leaders through complex employee relations matters, including fact-finding, strategic decision-making, and documentation.
  • Conduct overflow legal-inquiry cases in collaboration with Legal, applying objectivity, discretion, and sound judgment while following company procedures and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Document inquiry findings clearly and accurately and provide recommendations or follow-up actions where appropriate.
  • Leverage data and people analytics to provide insights that drive business decisions, measure HR effectiveness, and improve organizational outcomes.
  • Identify leadership skill gaps and partner with stakeholders to implement training, process improvements, and strategies that enhance team effectiveness and employee experience.
  • Support leaders in managing the full employment lifecycle, ensuring best practices in performance management, engagement, and development.
  • Drive cross-functional HR initiatives that improve leadership effectiveness, strengthen accountability, and improve organizational development, employee experience, and business performance.
  • Develop and implement proactive HR strategies to minimize reactive work and improve organizational impact.
  • Collaborate with global HR partners and legal counsel to ensure compliance with international labor laws and optimize HR operations.
  • Take initiative in solving complex problems with a diverse scope, even in ambiguous situations.
  • Document and standardize HR processes by writing and maintaining standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in mentoring initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Prioritize and manage workload effectively to meet service level agreements and business needs.
  • Deliver prompt, accurate, and insightful responses to employee and leader inquiries and requests.
  • Champion the Exact Sciences culture and values in all interactions.
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. and international employment laws and regulations.
  • Protect confidential information with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM CP, SHRM SCP, CIPD, GPHR, IHRC, etc.).
  • Experience working with international HR policies, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Experience conducting workplace inquiries or investigations involving sensitive or complex employee matters, preferably in collaboration with legal counsel.
  • Strong skills in documentation, neutrality, confidentiality, and synthesizing facts into clear, actionable outcomes.
  • Experience documenting and writing effective standard operating procedures.
  • Experience leading HR projects with enterprise-wide impact.
  • Experience in Microsoft OneNote and advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel doing v-lookups, x-lookups, pivot tables, etc.
  • Experience with Workday and/or supporting leaders with self-service keying within an HRIS system.
  • Experience completing work within an HR case management system (i.e., ServiceNow).
  • Experience using critical thinking and influence to help employees and business leaders reach decisions and solve complex organizational problems and conflict while constantly balancing risk and compliance for the organization.
  • Fluent in other languages with a preference towards German, French, and Italian.
