Requirements
- Proven end-to-end ownership of technology applications across the full lifecycle—Plan, Build, and Run.
- Experience in transformational leadership, including Change Management, Stakeholder Management, Decision Making, Team Empowerment, Driving Accountability, and Data Driven performance.
- History of successfully delivering large-scale projects that introduce new insurance technology.
- Strong strategic focus, with the ability to discern priorities and direct team efforts toward the highest-value outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing leaders of leaders and effectively guiding matrixed teams.
- A solid background in software engineering or project management, with hands-on experience in the domain.
- Experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry, with a preference for expertise in Commercial Lines.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for mission-critical Property & Casualty Commercial applications that enable our Middle Market business.
- Accountable for the strategic direction, performance, and evolution of technology that enables our Middle Market businesses.
- Responsible for the financial stewardship of the department (exceeds $15M annually) and ensure the technology services you deliver meet the highest standards of availability, security, and efficiency to support business outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders to shape and translate strategic objectives into innovative, high-impact technology solutions that drive competitive advantage and business growth.
- Lead a team of 50+ associates, matrixed resources, and contractors, including software engineers and frontline managers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Guidewire InsuranceSuite technology is strongly preferred.
- Technology certifications or designation are not required, but encouraged, e.g., Amazon Web Services, Azure, Scripting and Development Languages, Delivery Methods, Security.
