Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 or more years’ experience in consumer lending or mortgage sales or processing.
Responsibilities
- Manages a pipeline of consumer loan applications.
- Interacts directly with customers, internal partners such as bankers and underwriters, and third party service providers in the origination of consumer loan applications.
- Communicates by phone and email in a proactive, sales-oriented manner.
- Communicates terms, requirements, and conditions of customer’s loan application and obtains customer acceptance.
- Expedites the origination process by keeping all parties up to date on the status of the application and communicating new information relevant to the transaction.
- Follows up with the customer, banker, and others as needed on any outstanding documents needed to satisfy underwriting requirements.
- Researches and resolves issues related to the application.
- Sells features and benefits of products to customers, cross-sells other products and services, up-sells loan amounts, and encourages additional account usage.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
