Requirements
- Requires a BS/BA degree in related field and minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience to include experience in data warehouse usage, standard query and reporting tools, SQL, SAS and Business Objects, BI applications and enterprise software; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
- Experience in standard BI tools and programming/query languages is also required.
Responsibilities
- Establishes, maintains, uses, and continually expands/enhances knowledge of data warehouses/marts, Information Management and enterprise applications, data, queries/ programming, and organizational structure.
- Acts as team leader for large-scale, complex internal and enterprise projects.
- Undertakes complex assignments requiring additional specialized technical or business knowledge.
- Designs, develops, and coordinates a curriculum for coaching and training clients in the use of BI and Information Management tools to enhance business decision-making capability.
- Designs and releases complex and/or high-profile communications about BI matters.
- Provides design oversight on Information Management websites.
- Leads development, tracking, analysis, and reporting of metrics.
- Provides relevant insights in new and existing BI activities.
- Provides recommendations and direction for short- and long-term strategic decisions.
- Develops and oversees department policies and standard operating procedures.
- Educates team members on advanced Business Information tools, design strategies, trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Instructs, directs and reviews/monitors work of less experienced Information Management Consultants and identifies developmental opportunities.
- Communicates effectively with multiple levels within the organization.
- Leads and plans projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mastery of technical and business knowledge in all major subject areas within department including multiple disciplines/processes highly preferred.
- Master’s degree preferred.
