Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelors of Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Geological, Nuclear or equivalent)
- Positive attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and be highly communicative
- Experience with MS Office
- Valid driver’s license (an MVR check will be performed prior to hire)
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of project related technical documents including environmental reports, designs drawings, technical specifications, work plans & cost estimates, and drawings for review.
- Field work and oversight associated with environmental monitoring, environmental investigations, OM&M sites, and remediation activities will be required, and will likely include dust and noise monitoring on a construction site, drilling oversight, soil sampling, well installation, groundwater sampling, surface water sampling, investigative/remedial excavation oversight, vapour sampling, etc. Gaining experience in the field will include the potential for travel within Ontario. Field demands can include working long hours, and working in inclement weather conditions.
- Assist in the coordination and scheduling of project related work, including working with other GHD staff, external contractors, and public entities (i.e. obtain permits)
