Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical), Biology, Environmental Science, Technology or Chemistry. Equivalent experience in the field will also qualify
- Experience in direct sales, customer service, account management, or industry operation
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills, as well as customer service and results oriented, and strong analytical skills with business acumen
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Familiarity with water treatment processes and applications
- Work independently (after proper training) and be a self-starter
- Travel within the Region as required to support the customers
- Work in a range of environments to include but not limited to refineries, industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities.
Responsibilities
- Works at commercial sites to perform field test equipment, chemical feed systems, and other equipment and chemicals involved in water treatment
- Servicing and daily oversight of performance metrics at the customer site related to utilities units
- Routine involvement in customer operational meetings, providing input to the customer on existing issues and working with the Veolia technical team to devise solutions
- Laboratory testing and field verification of parameters related to water chemistry and reporting on the findings and providing recommendations to the customer’s engineers by leveraging digital tools
- Actively seeking opportunities to optimize water and process treatment programs (reducing operational costs, achieving environmental savings, improving unit reliability) by applying engineering and water chemistry knowledge
- Simulation and modeling of process conditions using internal process simulation software
- Troubleshooting, completing special studies and updating operations manuals to assist the customer in day-to-day operation of the utilities units
- Manage and order site chemical inventory
- Applies technologies to solve a wide variety of water and process treatment needs, utilizing the broadest and deepest product portfolio in the industry
- Promotes account growth by optimizing results and providing customers with creative equipment, chemical and analytics solutions
