Requirements
- High school diploma, college degree preferred.
- At least one year experience working in a paperless legal environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have experience with various forms of document management technology (i.e., Adobe, Nuance or eCopy software), including online document repositories or managed file transfer sites (e.g., Dropbox or Box.com).
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Outlook, Word and Excel, as well as .pdf software.
- Basic knowledge of legal terminology and litigation will be helpful.
- Strong multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with confidential/sensitive information and use diplomacy in written/verbal communication with internal/external clients.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, use independent judgment in a fast paced and high volume environment.
- Demonstrated efficiency, productivity, and attention to detail, strong organizational skills and accuracy.
- Ability to work on strict and short deadlines; able to set priorities and deal effectively with shifting priorities.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring e-faxes and electronic service mailbox
- Maintaining and organizing electronic and physical legal files
- Ordering and uploading documents
- Burning and sending confidential information and records to CDs, USBs, or through a managed file transfer (MFT site)
- Uploading emails and documents to paperless document management system
- Printing and packaging documents to be sent through US Mail or UPS
- Answering the office general phone.
