Requirements
- High School Education or Equivalent
- In-depth knowledge of applicable aircraft and general flightline maintenance
- Thorough working knowledge of applicable technical publications and ability to accurately interpret technical data
- A&P certified and have been a line maintenance mechanic for at least 2 years
- Good verbal and written communication skills and leadership ability
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a driver’s license
- Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance (US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance)
Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction to all assigned flightline personnel
- Formulate, manage, plan and schedule training for personnel
- Coordinate maintenance efforts with production supervisor and Maintenance Operation Control Center (MOCC)
- Review aircraft records to ensure required maintenance has been performed
- Manage Flightline section consisting of 98 personnel
- Directly supervise 18-man expeditor team of lead and senior mechanics
- Ensure personnel practice good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) awareness/prevention, and safety
- Ensure HAZCOM and HAZMAT pharmacy programs are followed
- Review, evaluate, and take corrective actions based on quality assurance and contractor officer representatives (CORS) reports
- Ensure aircraft 781 forms documentation and CAMS match
- Assist personnel in researching and requisitioning aircraft parts and components
- Ensure repairable parts are promptly processed through repair channels
- Ensure ground safety measures are observed in servicing and ground handling of all aircraft
- Manage continuous on-the-job-training (OJT) of maintenance personnel and new employees
- Review status of training program and manage the special certification roster
- Provide annual performance reviews for flightline personnel
- Co-chair weekly scheduling meeting
- Work with Program Managers to ensure compliance with Service Bulletins, Air Worthiness Directives, and Special Modifications
- Coordinate and manage all Programmed Depot Maintenance input and return schedules
- Perform other duties related to the occupational field as assigned
- Must be able to work 1st shift, 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or weekend shift as required
