Requirements

  • High School Education or Equivalent
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable aircraft and general flightline maintenance
  • Thorough working knowledge of applicable technical publications and ability to accurately interpret technical data
  • A&P certified and have been a line maintenance mechanic for at least 2 years
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and leadership ability
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance (US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction to all assigned flightline personnel
  • Formulate, manage, plan and schedule training for personnel
  • Coordinate maintenance efforts with production supervisor and Maintenance Operation Control Center (MOCC)
  • Review aircraft records to ensure required maintenance has been performed
  • Manage Flightline section consisting of 98 personnel
  • Directly supervise 18-man expeditor team of lead and senior mechanics
  • Ensure personnel practice good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) awareness/prevention, and safety
  • Ensure HAZCOM and HAZMAT pharmacy programs are followed
  • Review, evaluate, and take corrective actions based on quality assurance and contractor officer representatives (CORS) reports
  • Ensure aircraft 781 forms documentation and CAMS match
  • Assist personnel in researching and requisitioning aircraft parts and components
  • Ensure repairable parts are promptly processed through repair channels
  • Ensure ground safety measures are observed in servicing and ground handling of all aircraft
  • Manage continuous on-the-job-training (OJT) of maintenance personnel and new employees
  • Review status of training program and manage the special certification roster
  • Provide annual performance reviews for flightline personnel
  • Co-chair weekly scheduling meeting
  • Work with Program Managers to ensure compliance with Service Bulletins, Air Worthiness Directives, and Special Modifications
  • Coordinate and manage all Programmed Depot Maintenance input and return schedules
  • Perform other duties related to the occupational field as assigned
  • Must be able to work 1st shift, 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or weekend shift as required
