IEP Coordinator

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with appropriate special education endorsement.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in special education, with a strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
In-depth knowledge of IDEA, state regulations, and best practices related to special education.
Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

Coordinate and manage the full IEP process for all eligible students, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines.
Schedule and facilitate IEP meetings, including initial, annual, and triennial reviews.
Work in close collaboration with special education teachers, service providers, and administrators to develop and implement appropriate goals, accommodations, and services.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all IEP-related paperwork and progress reports.
Serve as the primary liaison between the school and local education agencies (LEAs) regarding student IEPs and services.
Monitor and support compliance with timelines, reporting requirements, and data tracking.
Provide training and support to instructional staff regarding IEP processes, special education documentation, and student progress monitoring.
Participate in student placement decisions and transition planning as needed.
Ensure that all IEP goals are aligned with Gersh’s mission of supporting the growth and development of each student.

Prior experience in a leadership or coordinator role within a special education setting.
Experience working with students on the autism spectrum.
Familiarity with IEP software systems and data platforms used in Washington State.
