Requirements
- hold a Public Trust or higher federal security clearance
- possess a bachelor’s degree or other equivalent degree program, or additional four (4) years functional area experience
- have a minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated related experience
- Records/systems scheduling experience is strongly preferred
- travel to Ashburn, VA at least once a month
Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate with stakeholders and NARA to produce records retention schedules for paper, electronic, and IT system records
- Analyze existing records to determine General Records Schedule or agency-specific retention schedule coverage
- Review and certify that minimum RIM requirements are integrated into IT system functionality
- Develop or present records management-related training
- Conduct client-facing meetings to identify records management-related compliance gaps and develop and support strategies to close those gaps
- Analyze, develop, and write operating procedures
- Develop, write and edit RIM guidance
- Recommend and facilitate quality improvement initiatives
