Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Experience with digital circuit design and Xpedition experience (Mentor Graphics)
- 7+ years of experience in electrical design and analysis, preferably in optical or aerospace systems
Responsibilities
- Create and develop electrical systems designs ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and regulations
- Utilize Xpedition/Mentor Graphics software to produce detailed schematics and layouts
- Conduct electrical analysis, simulations, and testing to validate designs and ensure performance specifications are met
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on electrical systems
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all project requirements are met
- Assist in project planning and scheduling, ensuring timely delivery of engineering solutions
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical design and analysis
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and quality
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Cadence experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., MIL, IEEE, IPC)
