Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- 1-3 years of experience in a relevant field, including curriculum development experience.
Responsibilities
- Research, plan, develop, and launch new and innovative career aligned professional development, continuing education, and contract training courses and programs.
- Oversee curricula and programs to ensure their educational, operational, and fiscal success.
- Ensure the overall quality of educational offerings within their portfolio, including evaluation, assessment, and quality assurance activities.
- Identify emerging education needs and propose new offerings to meet the demands of the changing economy, shifting workforce needs, emerging workforce, and new technologies to expand the portfolio.
- Manage budget and fiscal responsibilities for assigned programs and newly developed programs while ensuring program expenses align with student needs.
- Professionally represent UNLV Lifelong Learning to all UNLV academic and administrative units and identify opportunities for collaborative projects.
- Professionally represent UNLV Lifelong Learning to business and industry partners, government agencies, educational institutions, community organizations, and workforce development partners.
- Recruit, train, evaluate, provide guidance to, and manage all instructors for the programs and courses within their assigned portfolio.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field, including curriculum development and experience managing non-credit programming at an institution of higher education.
