Requirements
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in environmental science, engineering or related field. Or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience (10 years preferred) in either a consulting environment or working substantially within the energy sector.
- NEPA Expertise – FERC or other agency experience (applicant or third-party), a plus.
- ESHIA (Environmental, Social, and Health Impact Assessment) experience, a plus.
- Recognized technical expertise and an established reputation in the local (Gulf Coast) geography.
- In-depth understanding of the Power and Oil & Gas sectors and the companies operating in this market, including existing relationships that can be leveraged into new business.
- Desire to develop commercially.
- Demonstrated understanding of the energy regulatory environment, key regulatory agencies, and current and emerging issues.
- Business acumen to understand business risks and challenges, and to recognize opportunities to provide facility specific and enterprise-wide, programmatic solutions for clients.
- Demonstrable record in delivering annual sales.
- Attention to detail and commitment to deliver quality work products.
- Demonstrated project management and leadership skills.
- Experience with line management and/or contributing to the professional development of other teammates.
- Enthusiasm, initiative, flexibility, and a desire to work in a growing team.
Responsibilities
- Working with clients to define, target and develop opportunities within the ERM system, including working with existing ERM account managers and delivery teams to expand existing accounts and opportunities.
- Managing and performing multi-media permitting associated with capital development projects with an emphasis on local, state, and federal permitting, including but not limited to compliance associated with regulations of federal agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and Bureau of Ocean Energy Management.
- Demonstrating strong analytical skills, excellent writing and presentation skills, and a mastery of impactful client communication (i.e., technical and commercial communication skills).
- Building strong and trusted relationships with clients and/or business partners.
- Working with ERM’s North America Leadership team and client Account Directors and Account Managers to contribute to robust, proactive Go-to-Market programs to drive commercial growth for capital projects as the energy sector responds to this changing landscape.
