Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 to 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably within the battery energy storage industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proven track record of process improvement.
- Familiarity with quality control methodologies, lean manufacturing principles, and industry-specific regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations at the contract manufacturer’s facility, ensuring that production schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that all products meet the required specifications and standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Work closely with the contract manufacturer’s project team, as well as internal teams including program management, procurement, quality, and engineering.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production performance, quality metrics, and operational issues.
- Review and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) with the contract manufacturer on a regular basis to ensure continuous improvement.
- Address and resolve any operational issues that arise, developing and initiating corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with contract manufacturers.
- Knowledge of battery energy storage systems and enclosure fabrication.
- Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
