Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year related experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor the utilization of intermodal containers to insure maximum efficiency by Uber Freight offices
  • Provide continuous use of all equipment under Uber Freight authority in an efficient, cost-effective manner enhance customer service and fulfill dray carrier agreements
  • Improve margins through effective cost management
  • Improve customer service through equipment availability
  • Fulfill dray carrier partnerships through reuse of equipment with assignment of equipment round trips
  • Match equipment on loads delivering with loads picking up for reuse
  • Reserve railroad equipment and Interchange equipment in Blume
  • Manage gate reservations
  • Communicate with Intermodal Specialists on: availability of equipment, reassignment of equipment, rescheduled appointments, provide management with information required and apply the tier request allocation and prioritization procedure
  • Expedite movement of equipment to minimize per diem and rail storage expense

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 1-2 years of intermodal experience
  • Ability to run BI reports; validate information; understand report and offer feedback on report
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including but not limited to VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, both team and individual
