Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of engineering practices and patterns across the entire software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, deployments, and monitoring.
- Strong passion for optimizing developer productivity.
- Proven ability to build and maintain a high-quality, high intelligence engineering team.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and market demands.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster trust and transparency with stakeholders and team members.
- Experience with technologies such as Java, REST API development, Node.js, React, AWS, Kotlin, Swift, Kafka, relational databases, Rules Engine systems, LaunchDarkly, Iterable, and Hightouch is a huge plus.
- 2+ years of progressive management leadership experience directing high visibility initiatives.
- 7+ years of experience in designing and architecting scalable systems, with strong expertise in web and mobile application development.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with driving large scale and cross-functional projects to the finish line in timely fashion across the platforms.
Responsibilities
- Co-Create Global Member Retention Strategy: Collaborate closely with product, design and marketing to co-create and refine the vision, goals, and technical strategy for more than 5 countries, ensuring alignment with market trends and emerging opportunities. Design thinking is a huge plus.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle for Retention web and mobile applications, ensuring timely delivery of projects. Establish robust processes and uphold rigorous quality standards to ensure each product meets or exceeds expectations.
- Foster Trust and Transparency: Cultivate an environment of trust and openness within your team and with stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and effective collaboration.
- Build and Inspire a Stellar Team: Attract, motivate, and retain a diverse team of top-tier engineers, fostering an atmosphere where talent thrives and innovation flourishes.
