Senior Swimwear Designer – Freelance

Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Senior Designer or in a similar role, preferably within licensed swimwear and private label accounts.
Strong portfolio showcasing successful swimwear designs, particularly in the contemporary space.
Excellent knowledge of swimwear construction techniques, fabric properties, and fit requirements.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
Proficiency in 3D software Browzwear a plus.
Ability to stay updated on industry trends, emerging fashion, and swimwear styles.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and inspire a team of designers.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.

Spearhead the design and development process for licensed women’s swimwear collections, as well as oversee select private label accounts.
Conduct extensive research on emerging fashion trends, swimwear styles, colors, prints, and materials.
Ensure that all swimwear designs maintain consistency with the brand’s identity, values, and guidelines.
Lead and inspire a small team, providing mentorship, guidance, and direction.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, account management, tech and Asia global teams.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of swimwear construction techniques, fabric properties, and fit requirements.
Review and provide feedback on prototypes and samples, ensuring they meet design specifications, quality standards, and brand requirements.
Contribute to seasonal line planning by providing creative ideas and insights based on market research, sales analysis, and consumer feedback.
Collaborate closely with team to address any issues related to fit, construction, or design.
Collaborate with licensing partners to maintain brand guidelines and design standards.
