- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology for instructional purposes.
- Can commit to at least one whole semester teaching without interruption (Spring semester: Jan – May; Summer: June – Aug; Fall semester: Aug – Dec)
- Responsible, reliable, and a team player to effectively collaborate with other teachers and staff.
- Patient, empathetic, and motivated to inspire students.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States
- You must be able to commute to teach in-person at one of our San Jose Cupertino Campuses.
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging lessons in English for elementary level mathematics to our students using Think Academy curriculum
- Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that fosters a love of mathematics among a class of about 8-16 students
- Identify and address individual learning needs by providing personalized assistance to students
- Homework grading as well as other related key teaching services
- Maintain open and proactive communication with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress, achievements, and areas of concern
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences/meetings as needed to discuss student performance
- Hold office hours and provide 1-on-1 help
- Foster a safe and respectful learning atmosphere for all students
- Develop tailored mathematical learning plans for students based on their current abilities and goals, facilitating their enrollment in short-term or long-term courses
- Become education specialist in education field and support daily business operation as in marketing and business growth in the bay area
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior math teaching or general teaching experience is not required, but it is highly preferred.
